SFI, Vegomässan and more!

So, I finally started SFI. I'm supposed to be studying 5 days a week, from 8:30 -> 11:30 every day. Of course, that isn't happening.

One of our teachers has been ill, so there have been no lessons at all on Tuesday or Wednesday. Also, our non-ill teacher needs to talk with each of us one on one, so we've had lessons end at 9:50, and then 4 people every day stay behind and talk with her. So I've basically not studied at all so far. Also, next Friday it ends, and doesn't start again until the 14th January. So that's.. a bit of a letdown, really.

The Vegomässan (Veggie Fair) finally happened after days of constant working. We got there at about 8:00, and then finally got home at around 18:00. We, after all the costs involved, made about £14 profit. So hooray! It was also fun and we got to try a bunch of good food, and a few other things.

I also decided to buy something cool and awesome and awesome and cool on eBay. Do I win or what?

Swedish Tomorrow!

I start studying Swedish tomorrow at SFI. That should be interesting. It will be very easy for me at first because although I don't speak much Swedish I understand an awful lot, likely more than most of the people starting tomorrow will.

I've also been ill these past few days, I've barely been able to eat and have been in pain, sweating, feverish etc. I feel better now though (and yesterday I was pretty much better), so that's great timing.

The Veggie Fair is in less than a week! It's going to be pretty crazy until then, we have to finish making several different paper-based things and get many photocopies, we have to make a lot more food, we have to package the food with paper in bags, and Emmie needs her hair cut before it too! Madness. It'll be great once we're actually there, and once it's over, but until then the stress will be D:.

Now I'm going to go clean, so that we can then make more horrible mess when we make stuff later today! Hooray.

Money Woes!

We live in a large block of flats (I think there's about 500 individual apartments), owned by a company called Akelius.

The residents of the flats have decided they want to buy their apartments from the company, and Akelius have agreed. It's possible to stay renting, but it's pretty stupid because we're being offered the flats at less than half price, plus each person that keeps renting puts the price of the flats down, and so they hate people renting and will keep making up lies about us making noise or mess or whatever and get us kicked out.

So, we're likely going to get a mortgage. This will mean we earn many less monies (Even with the raise Emmie is getting), and we can barely live each month as it is. Who knows what will happen! Personally I'm planning to kidnap people and sell their organs on eBay. It should work, unless inferior Swedish organs are unwanted. : <

We also have to get 10% of the cost of the house as hard cash, the mortgage only covers 90% of the cost. So that's incredibly annoying. Oh well, we'll see what happens.

Also, I have a Facebook! You should all get one too. I have also...

Had my graphics card break and had to buy a new one.

Finally got permission and a date to start studying at SFI (Swedish for Immigrants).

Got a new cat, she's called Semla and is adorable.

Got a Nintendo Wii, and hooked it up to my computer.

Had my birthday, and got a HUGE collection of Discworld books.

Been to a place called Gekås Ullared. It's a horribly huge shop that sells everything (food, clothes, electronics) and is the size of a small moon. I barely survived.

Soon (Dec 8th), there's a fair called "Vegomässan" ("Veggie Fair"), and Emmie is going to have a stall there. She'll be plugging her blog, selling some vegan treats, and also selling some little magazines with some vegan recipes in. I'll be going along too, and I'll be speaking to all the people that only speak English (so I'm going to have to put up with some fat American all day, demanding to know where I get my protein and making stupid jokes and expecting me to laugh).

I'll try to keep this update thing up.
So, we're in England and stuff now.

The guy who picked us up from the airport was absolutely fantastic. He was 70 (He looked more like 50 though), had been in the army for 25 years and was so incredibly right wing. He had fantastic one-liners like 'it's because of those damn socialists' and 'we're practically a communist state'. He also ranted about the kids of today, and how they need a good ass kicking. So he was fantastic.

We've been to Tesco (Twice, no less!), and have tried some vegetarian things, like Quorn beef style slices, which were great. We're also trying cheeses and so on.

Not much else to say, really. Emmie has some nice clothes, and I'll update next time there're things of interest!

So, I know I'm really crap and haven't updated my LJ in weeks, despite promising regular updates. I seem to start every damn post with something like that. Oh well.

Anyway. We're going to ENGLAND tomorrow! We're catching the plane at 10:00 BST+1, and will arrive in England at 10:50 BST. It'll be fantastic. We've got a few things planned, plus just general touristness.

We're going to go to a pub in Bath - They only sell vegetarian/vegan food, so that will be awesome. We're also obviously going to Tesco (And ASDA because Emmie wants to see it), and we're going to spend quite a bit clothes shopping (Because they have many more clothes in England for Emmie than in Sweden, as everyone in England is fat!).

Not much else is planned - We might go to the cinema (Popcorn in Sweden is just that, popped corn - They don't have any of the taste the England ones do), we might walk around the Southwick Country Park. If we have time and money we'll very likely visit Longleat, and maybe Monkey World down in Devon (I think it's in Devon, anyway...)

That's all for now! See you when I get back!

Oh, and this update was done using Windows Live Writer. It's fancy, especially if you post to more than one blog. I thought I'd give it a go.

I am fully aware I said I'd update more, and then didn't for four days, but in my defence.. Kev's dumb!

Anyway. I've been doing a bunch of fun things lately, such as:

Twittering

Phoning the stupid people at the Student Loan Company

Bumming

Cleaning this pigsty properly, and making it nice!

Levelling a Paladin and Rogue >_>

So, for those who don't know, Twitter is a weird crazy site. You update (in 140 characters or less) what you're doing, when you're doing it. You can send texts (to a standard UK tel number) with what you're doing, and also receive texts when your friends do something, and it's basically a weird way to keep track of what everyone is doing and let people know what you are. I like it so far, and you should all sign up and friend me so I can find out what you are doing!

The Student Loan company are pretty terrible, as proven by their total incompetence. They keep sending me letters demanding I give them £172.60 because apparently they paid that to me, but the problem is that they didn't and they're morons. I keep insisting I didn't receive it, and we'll see where this takes me. I also have to get Emmie to write a letter saying "I keep Alex alive, we don't earn much money, please let us keep it :<". Apparently me telling them isn't enough, but add a handwritten letter by my girlfriend and suddenly it's proof.

For those who don't know, Emmie and I have started playing WoW again (I know, I know... but we're not playing our main characters, and we're not in the guild with all our friends, so it's pretty damn casual compared.) I'm levelling a rogue with Emmie (who is a warlock), and then when playing alone I'm levelling a Paladin (Who will be a tank!). WoW's a great game, just such a timesink. We won't be renewing for now because when this month of playtime expires it's pretty much the day we go to England, so no point paying for WoW during that. We'll see if we return afterwards.

Not much else to say, really. You all need to sign up to http://twitter.com, and you all need to update more. What fun is it updating regularly if nobody else does? >: o

Housewifery, England and Dogs

So, as you may or may not know, most of the time I've been in Sweden I've essentially been the housewife. Emmie works, and I don't, and so the least I can do is make the place respectable and so on. I never thought I'd be someone who would be staying at home cleaning while my partner earned the money, but hey. Today it's a right mess due to all the cooking Emmie did for the barbecue (Although it could have been even worse), and now that I've finished my other stuff for the day, I'll be cleaning for the next few hours. Oh, what a life!

We're going to England next month, which will be great. No definite plans on anything we're doing yet, but Longleat, Bath, and Trowbridge are all pretty much certain. I don't know if we'll be meeting any people (notacrook, if you're available, it's a date!), but it should be fantastic anyway. We'll do British things like get Chips from a Chippy, and also will try all the Quorn and other vegetarian things we can while we're in England, as there's a terrible selection in Sweden.

Now, onto dogs. I walk a dog for a lady who works far away for a university and can't take the dog with her. I'll be stopping soon (Next Thursday is the last day), because she leaves work soon for summer. He's the third dog I've spent lots of time with (The first two being Emmie's mother's dogs). Dogs are interesting creatures. They're so terribly predictable and dumb compared to cats, but I can't help but feel there's some kind of intelligence they hide from us.

The way I see it:

Dogs really are as stupid as they seem

Dogs are intelligent, and they know full well that if they act dumb we'll carry on keeping them as pets, feeding them, making sure they're safe, give them medicine and so on. They get to live the life people dream of just by pretending to be dumb.

Dogs are some kind of alien species, spying on Earth, preparing us for conquest.

Now, if the first case is true, how the hell can that species have survived on Earth? I really don't think predators are scared of being hit by the tail of a happy dog running around like a complete lunatic. Tiny dogs bark like crazy, but if even small children understand they're so tiny you could kill one with your foot, predators wouldn't be scared. Especially the pug. How in the world did the pug manage to survive, when the Dodo didn't?

If the latter case is true, then we're all fucked and I'll probably be killed for revealing their plan, and the entry will be deleted.

Which means, if you're reading this, the chances are the middle is true. Dogs are intelligent, and they just act like all they care about is us so that we'll give them all kinds of free stuff. I know I used to do that with people on WoW, and it works. Every living thing must love free stuff.

Anyway, what are your views! I even want to know what Mrs. Crazy Cat Lady thinks!

So, due to the overwhelming support I will start updating! I've reinstalled Semagic to update my LJ the easy way, and I'm going to start using tags and stuff. I'm giving up on my dotcom blog, mostly because I'm a bum and when I get a new PDA I can update my LJ off-line and have it update when I use ActiveSync, while I can't do that with a dotcom blog. I'll be using alexmilburn.com for something, just not blogging. Eventually. I'm going to start trying to blog about more things, not just things that happen to me, but my ideas about things (and stuff!) and discussing things (not serious political discussions, although I might discuss things like that Tory vampire and so on).

Not today though. Today will be discussing much happier topics.

So, one of Emmie's friends also has a British (Welsh, specifically) boyfriend. She met him over TEH INTARWEBZ, and they met like 3-4 weeks ago. We got to meet him too. He was pretty nice, for a Welshman.

Go a few weeks later, and we've got a parcel that arrived today. We were not expecting anything, and had absolutely no idea what. We go to pick it up, and still have no idea what it is. We opened it immediately, and lo and behold, JAFFA CAKES.

PICTARZ:

We got 10 boxes, each with 36 cakes, which means a mighty 360 Jaffa Cakes for us! I now very much like this man, and wish to subscribe to his newsletter.

We also had a nice Barbecue today, with Seitan Ribz (Mock meat, made entirely by Emmie from wheat gluten, barbecue sauce and a few other things), and some other great stuff. I like food.

Anyway, I'm going to go stuff myself, this blogging is tiring!
So, it's been a while since I've updated. Not that much has happened until recently, so I havn't had much to post about. We bought an Atari 2600 Jr, and were given a (second) SNES and a Playstation by Emmie's mother, so go go retro gaming. We bought our tickets to England (14th-27th July), and it's been pretty average until lately. I'll go on with that in a bit.

England will be great, it will be nice to be able to speak to everyone and to see people I know!
I will from now on be posting my updates on not just my blog, but also my Livejournal again. Purely because Entropy is a bit crap.

I've uninstalled (after taking registry backups) LocalCooling - It's still buggy, and didn't really offer anything useful. I'm just using the standard Windows power settings now. I've removed the link to it from my webpage too.

We've almost settled into the new flat completely now. We need to move the bookshelves we filled with books to the other side of the room, which is annoying, but we'll cope.

Cookie has stopped feeling heat now, which is great. We found Emmie's cat leash, so we're going to start taking Cookie outside and let her walk us (cats walk you, not the other way around!)

LOTRO is seeming kinda fun. It's nice to play a game I have no idea about and be casual. I'm a minstrel and loving it - I play songs! How is that not awesome.

Lastly, I thought I'd list the Firefox addons I use. Partially as an archive, partially because I'm interested in what others (read: Niall, and maybe fuzzie, because Ent uses Opera and Emmie I already know) use. So, here we go.

Adblock Plus
http://adblockplus.org/en/ - Fantastic addon to block ads. It's incredibly versatile, and the way it completely removes the elements so that the page content can (sometimes) take up the space ads were is great.

Better GMail
http://lifehacker.com/software/gmail/lifehacker-code-better-gmail-firefox-extension-251923.php - A collection of mostly useful GreaseMonkey scripts into a full Firefox extension. Label Colors is my personal favourite.

CustomizeGoogle
http://www.customizegoogle.com/ - CustomizeGoogle. I used to use this, then I dropped it, but the newest beta feature is so damn good. Stream Google search result pages. The website describes it much better than I ever could, so go look.

Favicon Picker 2
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3176 - Favicon Picker 2 is simple, all it does is let you pick the Favicon you want for bookmarks, incase a bookmark has no Favicon, or the one it does have is terrible.

GMail Notifier
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/173 - GMail Notifier. Does what it says - Shows you when you get Email (along with an icon in the bottom corner of the status bar).

Google Browser Sync
http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/browsersync/ - An incredible extension if you use more than one computer (imo) - There's lots of extensions that sync bookmarks, but Google Browser Sync can sync cookies, saved passwords, open tabs and windows - It's brilliant.

Google Notebook
http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/ - A simple extension to allow ClipMarks style page grabbing into Google Notebook.

Google Reader Notifier
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3977 - Same as the GMail Notifier, but for your Google Reader.

Google Toolbar for Firefox
http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/toolbar/FT3/intl/en/ - The Google Toolbar. I'm sure you all know what it does.

Greasemonkey
http://www.greasespot.net/ - GreaseMonkey itself doesn't change Firefox, but it allows you to use GreaseMonkey user scripts to change Firefox. It can do crazy amounts of things. I don't use that many Greasemonkey scripts, infact the only one I have enabled at the moment is Textarea Backup, which stores what you type into a text area each keystroke, every second, and whenever the textarea loses focus - If you submit the form, all stored data for that page is dropped, otherwise when you visit back it asks if you wish to restore the lost data. There's far too many Greasemonkey things for me to go into, just browse userscripts.

Long Titles
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1715 - A bugfix, I use it purely for viewing the webcomic xkcd.

PDF Download
http://www.pdfdownload.org/ - PDF Download pops up a dialog box asking how you want to handle PDF files when you encounter one - Open, save, open with external application, convert to HTML, etc. It's pretty useful.

Session Manager
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2324 - Session Manager lets you recover the page you were browsing no matter how Firefox is closed, while Firefox by default only does it when the browser crashes. It's nice to just be able to close Firefox if I need to do something else on my PC without having to write down or bookmark all open tabs and windows.

Slashdotter
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2175 - Slashdotter expands the Slashdot website in a lot of ways, including but not limited to adding Coral, Mirrordot and Google cache links, styling, and a bunch of other things. If you browse Slashdot it's great.

StumbleUpon
http://www.stumbleupon.com/ - StumbleUpon adds a button (Or well, fucktons by default but I removed most, but this is about the "Stumble!" button) that takes you to a webpage. You choose what categories you are interested in beforehand, and each stumble! takes you to a random page from those categories. It's fun, especially if you're bored and have a few minutes.

Stylish
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2108 - Stylish lets you theme webpages using small files - It's like GreaseMonkey but for CSS, rather than adding new features. I use it to skin Google amongst other things - I use the Dark Blue theme from http://www.valacar.com/userstyles/.

What do YOU use?

Geeky Stuff

So, I've been looking around on those interwebs and compiled a short list of fun geeky things I want (and you should buy for me!)

Thinkgeek

USB Snowbot

Pirate Mug

Little Einstein

Desktop Personal Air Conditioner

The first three are just awesome, and so it's obvious why I want them. Especially the Snowbot.

The Air Conditioner would be really useful because due to several reasons (Lack of any proper fans/air conditioning, a tiny flat with two people, two PCs and a cat in, etc. etc.) this flat gets REALLY hot in Summer. It did last year and we only had one PC here then, two will be insane. We had two fans on always last year and it wasn't really enough, plus we had to constantly move them about. It would be easier to have the proper fan(s) near the bed/tv area, and have small air contioner units for near the PCs.

So yeah, I want these. I just need $74.95 now, plus $48.41 for delivery, which puts me at $123.36, which is £64 or 875kr. I could find some on other websites (European), and that would probably be a better bet - I can't imagine finding the Pirate Mug/Einstein anywhere, and the Snowbot is a thinkgeek exclusive, but those 3 + delivery is only $51.34, and I can afford £27 (360kr) sometime. And then we can look for a European site with the/an alternative of the air conditioner.

I also want a VGA box that supports high res ( http://www.chipper.se/pages-product_reviews_info/product-1290/reviews_id-96/ypbpr-to-rgbhv-vga-box-21-video-switch.html is the one that seems to be recommended, despite the poor review on that specific site), so that when Emmie and I get a second gen Wii we can hook it up to her nice flatscreen, rather than our crappy TV.

The subject title thingy has no relevence to this post, for the record.

I realised that I hadn't actually stated my current plans regarding life! Before I went back to England, the plan was to visit Swedonia when I could, get a job and study in England. However, during the trip back to England I realised I couldn't put up with years of being apart with Dil, so I decided that no matter what I would move to Sweden ASAP and study here. Hence me being here.

I'm trying to contact some Swedish companies (e.g. DICE) in the same way I contacted UK companies (e.g. Lionhead, Team17) about courses and universities and so on, but I don't know if the Swedes are all horrible bastards or not. I guess I'll see.

Not much else to say right now, I just felt like updating (After being woken up at some stupid time called "7 AM" by the wench).

D:

I think that D: sums up today pretty well. When I got home there was an e-mail from my mother saying that her mother (so my grandmother) had just died. My grandmother, my mother and fuzzie are the only three family members I care about, and this is the first person I've known well to die, so it's a shock and pretty sad.

I hope my mother doesn't get hit too hard by it, at least she has friends and contacts now.

On lighter news, Emmie and I made awesome muffins last night. Chocolate muffins with awesome topping. She posted some pictures on her Vegetarian Food Blog - Click here for a direct link. They were pretty damn sexy.

I want to start studying more Maths and C++. I'm fed up with bumming and just playing WoW or other games, and spending all day cleaning and browsing the web, and then when Emmie gets home we eat, talk and sleep. I want to study, I want to do things, I want to make things (Programs or physical things).

I want to get the Beginning C++ book by Ivor Horton - I used to know a very decent amount of C++, even doing DirectX coding, but I havn't done any in years (Curse you World of Warcraft!), so I'm pretty crap at it.

I'd also like to get some Mathematics books (Maybe the Heinemann series, I did C1-C4 for A-Level, so getting maybe C3/C4 for revision and then C5 and C6 for actual studying could be awesome, along with the Mechanics books. We'll see.

Edit!

I forgot to mention that the components for the new PC arrived, and (no thanks to that bum Grouhl) I managed to get it working. It's nice to have my own PC. I've set it up with my minions, and I know how much you love minion photos, so...

That's all for now!

Update!

Time for me to update!

So, I've done a bunch of things lately! I've made most (but not all!) of my LJ entries public, leaving only a few friends only - There's no point having general entries be private!

I'm also back in Sweden, for those who don't know. This time hopefully permenantly. Just before I moved here, I sold my uber hot PC. That was a bit sad, but I did scavenge it (I removed 1.5 gig of RAM, both 300 gig Hard Drives, the 7800 GTX and an old Athlon 64 processor I had lying about). The two 300 gig drives were both dead (One had been dead over a year) - So I sent them to Seagate, with the return address being Sweden. Everything else I took in my luggage. We then got given a case by a friend in Stockholm when we visited them, and bought the last few components online yesterday.

Having my own PC will be nice - I'll be able to actually talk to my friends when they're online (Emmie's usually home in the evening when they're online, and I'm not going to sit down at the PC and talk on MSN or whatever when I could spend time with Emmie who will be bored stiff) - If she can also PC it's much better.

There's been more Lost lately, nice for it to finally continue. It's still as crazy as ever though.

I made a Necromancer, using the template from NoGunArmy. He's fantastic. My army is growing, as the photo below shows!

I downloaded the C&C3 demo from Fileplanet, but in my stupidity I used the Firefox downloader (it's 1.2 GIG) and the download corrupted. I've got it going again as a torrent. I'll tell you what I think later.

Not much else to say really. I've played a decent amount of WoW lately, at level 67 now. I can't imagine playing it for months though, there's not much to do at 70 except raiding and the arena, and as notacrook doesn't seem to be arenaing anymore, effit.

Over and out!

So I havn't updated in ages, as usual, yadda yadda.

I made some muffins today. Triple Chocolate muffins. They have cocoa powder, melted plain dark chocolate and white chocolate buttons in.
They're SO damn good. I am a GENIUS. I've got photos but I don't have my damn camera cable yet, so no photos yet.
But GOD they're good.

I also got my ZOMBIE SURVIVAL GUIDE from Ent today. Now I too can survive the zombie holocaust! It very good so far, the book gets my complete approval!

I played Torment again recently, I completed it two days ago. God I love that game. Anybody reading this who hasn't played it (That's YOU, Emmie and Niall), PLAY IT DAMN YOU.

Finally, I've been watching Battlestar Galactica lately - I've been bored sometimes but not been in the mood to play any games, so TV shows it is. It's okay/good, nothing like I expected though. I also apparently should watch Babylon 5, have any of you watched it?

That's all, I guess. Over and out!

Christmas!

Even more things seem to have been Christmas'd.

Even Livejournal has a Christmas effect, now.

The insanity of it all! It's barely December and everywhere looks like Christmas.

I'll include some photos (With added cuts! Happy now, fatty?) of the two newest Christmas things in the house.

Sorry for the blur, but the damn cat was attacking the tinsel (That's why it ran inside the loops), so Emmie had to take a quick photo.

Lights!

I've also booked my ticket to go home! I will be leaving Sweden ( :( ) on January 16th, 2007. I'll miss Emmie and Swedonia, alhough it'll be nice to be in a country that sells a sane amount of vegetarian produce, along with having sane TV and a sane language.

WoW 2.0 came out recently with all the new talents and all that. I'd like to try it, but it's so not worth subscribing for a month. Effit. Maybe sometime with Burning Crusade.

Not much else to say, really. Christmas soon!

I'm dreaming of a Murloc Christmas

I <s>was forced to</s> willingly helped out make some Christmassy stuff today. Decorations, cards, and so on. I decided after a bit that I should find and do some Christmas Origami. I made a tree, a star, and then I saw how to make a christmas hat. I made it, and then Emmie put some string on it and we attached it to my (as of yet) unnamed Murloc. (More on the naming later).

I expected picture requests, so here you go:

Genius!

I still need a name for my Murloc. Suggestions are welcome and wanted. Murky is not acceptable, and neither is Gurky. He has to have a Murloc name (No "Bob" or whatever).

Possible names taken from wowwiki:
Squiddic
<s>Cookie</s> - Cat is named Cookie, this would get confusing.
Brack
Slark
Old Murk Eye
Flagglemurk the Cruel
Murkdeep
Mugglefin
Muckdweller
Oracle
Burgle Eye
Scargil
Gobbler
Gluggle
Swamp Talker
Ogloop
Ipwoom
Shlur
Lilki
Yshmeel

Tell me if you like or dislike any names, reasons not to use them, etc. etc.

Operation Name-The-Murloc is now underway!

A wise man once sent me a link to a "Deep One Plush", by "ToyVault", saying "Murloc plush D:". He apparently at first thought that it was not real, but it is! I found a UK site that sells it (Lovecraftiana), and got it shipped to Swedenland. It arrived, and as I promised, photos!

Murlockery!
More Murlockery!

My next plan is to find a cane and a top hat for him. (For the unknowing, a picture is included!)

His head is about 4 inches wide, diameter 4.5-5 inches. If anyone knows of a top hat that size, then I demand to know where I can get it!

I've also contacted Phil, we talked, he's pissed but there's been talking at least.

I completed Neverwinter Nights 2 as my first character (An Aasimar Paladin, btw). Now I'm playing again as a Drow Wizard - Chaotic Evil, of course. None of this Drizzt crap, I'm evil and proud of it. My deity is Lloth (Or is that Lolth... I forget which one is the "Common" spelling and which is the Drow version), and I even have a spider familiar. I'm hoping I can murder some of my companions or something, I hate them all. Except the dwarf, but that's just because the only two heavy armour melee companions are him and a Paladin, and Dwarf Warrior > Paladin by default. And I, of course, need a warrior to stop them beating on me.

For now, at least...

Over and out!

Cats, Neverwinter and More!

So. Just a few minutes ago Emmie and I were sitting here, talking, browsing the interwebs, and so on and so forth. Then we hear this strange noise, and a very odd watery noise coming from the bathroom, followed by a mechanical sound. After a few seconds, we realise - The cat fell into the toilet. It jumped out again and casually walked out, soaking wet.

O_o

Neverwinter Nights 2 is pretty awesome, I still insist. Evil characters are rare (One joins you at level 8-9, and one at level 14-16, and that's it so far). At one point in the game you get to have an extra party member, so a 5 man party instead of 4. That's pretty damn awesome. The game's fun, and I'm really looking forward to seeing some user created content and so on. Plus I'm looking forward to try it as a drow caster. Bards have been heavily buffed, and are actually pretty good now - They can cast healing spells, dps spells, buffs, they can have an aura up at all times like a WoW Paladin, and they can wear light armour with no penalty to spellcasting - medium armour with a talent.

As for the more, we got a second one of those crazy head lights from Emmie's mum a few days ago. Mine's still the better one though. This will be proven when the car runs Emmie over and not myself!

Not much else to say, really. I've been reading a lot lately. I like books. I'm thinking of playing Torment again. Although I should just whine until the wench gives it a go, first at least.

Toodle-doo!

So Emmie and I have done walking and other bizarre things lately. We were talking while walking one day about one of those lights you wear on your head, like a miner, and then the next day she comes home with one. It's mine now. I get to walk about with a light on my forehead! Victory!

Also, the god damn cat keeps disconnecting the internet and trying to eat cables (My network cable especially) - I think it has a hatred for internet, curse it's soul.

Not much else to say. I made a chaotic evil wizard in NWN2 ready for when I play again. My current char is fun though. I've got a lot of the game left to play, too.

Anyway. Nothing else to say. Toodles.

The engine was kinda bad until we turned off some retarded setting.

The camera is AWFUL. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. I managed to get it a bit better but it's still worse than Kev is at not being emo in videos.

The game is kinda fun though. Addictive. I hate all my companions, which as I'm playing good means either A) all companions suck, or B) they actually made the evil companions good this time - I'm hoping for the latter. I've seen plenty of evil things to do so far, and actually evil, as opposed to just demanding money from somebody. Like throat slitting, guard murdering, and so on and so forth. The main quest I'm doing is doable in two pretty different ways, depending on whether you're good or evil - Promising sign. I'm definitely going to play through the game twice, so that's cool.

Overall, definitely try it. If not right away, then once the patch for camera control and so on is out.

p.s. Monkey Grip + DW = VICTORY!

I got some book from some old chick on how to learn Swedish. A I suspected, the answer lies in more bork and less sanity.

I'm in town waiting for my NWN2. i'm sure my LJ tomorrow will be about the game. Rumours say it actually has a plot! Facts also say the dialogue action and morale system is like NWN - lying, neck snapping, etc. Sounds fun.

Toodles!
